January 11, 2025. Order through drive, cashier is friendly if we were unsure of the menu and offers to come in for assistance. We waited a few minutes about 5 to 10 minutes, the food came hot and fresh. The snow did cover the parking lot.
Folks will generally only review a fast food joint for bad experiences, and not for what they expect. Popeyes has been here since forever, and me and my family still go here. Sure you aren't going to receive stellar service, but they've been consistent and I usually don't have any issues with ordering chicken here and I know others who have been here a long time who still go here. Annandale has exploded in fried chicken and chicken options in general, but the Annandale Popeyes is the OG chicken place and it's here to stay. Five stars for always being here and being close whenever I need my cajun fried chicken fix, they've mostly never let me down. Most recently, I did have to wait 15 minutes on a pick up order but the flip side was the chicken was fried fresh, M.T.O quality and it was sooooo delish. The fresh crunch and chicken wss moist. Key is to try and get the chicken out of the frier, but with their fast food model, it's impossible to time. Popeyes is the standard baseline for me for good fried chicken.
